This two-day workshop will introduce participants to the technical and artistic process of 16mm filmmaking. Participants will learn the fundamentals of celluloid filmmaking and how to use the all-analogue Sekonic light meter and iconic Bolex H16 film camera. Then, in small groups they will plan and shoot a film.

While some filmmaking experience may be helpful, this workshop is open to anyone with an interest in the art and craft of celluloid filmmaking. No previous experience required.

Please note: Day 1 and Day 2 are in different locations. Lunch will be provided on the first day of the workshop. Participants should plan to purchase or bring their lunch on day two.
