Artists, scholars, and community voices come together for the Latine Art Panel, being held as part of the National Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month observance in Bloomington. Being held at the Mies van der Rohe Building on the IU Bloomington campus, the conversation will explore themes of identity, belonging, representation, and the power of collective creativity to strengthen communities and foster connection.

A joint production of the FAR Center for Contemporary Arts, IU's Eskenazi School, and IU's La Casa/Latino Cultural Center, the discussion will feature artists participating in the exhibition FUERZA--the 2026 Hispanic Heritage theme--being held at the FAR Center September 15-18. The exhibition features work across two- and three-dimensional media created by Hispanic-identifying Indiana residents or students.

A reception on September 18 at the FAR Center will feature an artist market where exhibiting artists will have an opportunity to sell work, along with live music and dancing from 8-9:30 pm with the Salsoteca band. Food will be provided for sale by Pilis Party Taco and Midnight Mariposa Bakery.
