Pictura Gallery is thrilled to have The Men Who Would be King, a collaborative project by Photographer Jon Tonks and writer Christopher Lord, transforming our space for another two months. 

Tonks has shared a musical playlist with us and explains, ​“When we did the book launch for the book/​project I used a lot of exotica music. Chris, the writer for the book pieced most of it together, and it embodies the notion of America in the 60s/​70s having the dreams of heading to tropical islands for escapism, so it is strongly linked to the story of the book — people heading to the South Pacific to be received as gods and kings!”
